Big Give Christmas Challenge
and Giving Tuesday

There's a great chance for us to really grow acorns into trees, as it were, with the Big Give's Christmas Challenge 2025!

This is a HUGE event and a chance to double whatever you can donate to a charity of your choosing.  Truly Christmas magic!

This double effect runs between 12pm midday on the 2nd December and 12pm midday on the 9th December 2025 UK time.

The Christmas Challenge champions a wide range of charities and their causes. Every donation has the power to be doubled. - charities can make an even greater impact!

There are many different categories e.g. Health/Wellbeing, Hospitals/Hospices, Mental Health, Homeless/Refuge, Sports/Recreation, Armed Forces/Emergency Sevices, Disaster Relief, Cancer and Arts/Culture/Heritage to name a few.   The “Filter” button will help you find the sort of charity you want to help.

To help you, we've put the links to the Animal Charities and the Environment/Conservation charities below. You'll see that some charities are in both groups!

If you can, please donate

Whether you can or cannot donate please...

Whether you donate to help save a species such as the godwits with the WWT, or the turtle dove with the RSPB, help rhinos or big cats, red squirrels or otters, there will be a cause we can help. Be it dogs and cats, help pine martens, wildcats, songbirds, elephants, or cheetahs, there will be something we can all do. We can help habitats such as rainforests, rivers, wildlife corridors, oceans, and gardens.

The idea of Giving Tuesday is that the day encourages people to do good. In 10 years, it's grown into a huge global movement, encouraging and inspiring people to give, to work with others and to celebrate generosity.

You can volunteer, donate, give your skills, campaign for a cause you care about, organise an event to raise funds, do a litter pick... there are plenty of options. Whatever you do, please do something on the 2nd December 2025!

Earth Raise is a 7-day online match funding campaign. It's dedicated to helping those charities playing a key role in tackling pressing environmental issues. Charities need to apply by 16th January 2026.
