Wildlife Habitat - Wildlife need homes
Animal habitat covers many different forms and if we truly care about animals and want to make a difference to them, we need to look after it and care for their habitats so that they can survive and thrive. Animals and people need water to drink, clean air to breathe, a good source of food to live off, and the right conditions to thrive in. Increasingly, both animals and people will lack these things unless we all make a concerted effort to change the way we live. Already too many species of animals, plants and people have none of the things they need to survive and thrive. These examples of habitats all play their part in the balance of nature which helps keep our world well and healthy. This is not an exclusive list, as there are sure to be some my brain has forgotten... |
Some of these habitats can occur naturally - nature produced them - and some by our own choosing and actions. Trees are of course to be found in ancient woodland - but they can also be planted by people so we can create more habitats by our own actions. We can create ponds in our own gardens for wildlife and enjoy watching and discovering our wildlife visitors as they make the most of them. With 7.7+ billion people taking over much of animals' habitat, how can this be done? How can we help wildlife?
