Save the Rothbury Estate
There’s a MASSIVE appeal for £30 million by the Wildlife Trusts coming to its target in the UK.
It is HUGE – I can’t ever recall there being such a big appeal in the UK – and it’s to secure the Rothbury Estate. In short, a stunning piece of Britain stretching over 3,800 hectares.
With rolling moorlands, woodlands and starry skies, the Wildlife Trusts have an opportunity to secure this land, but they have to reach the target by September 2026. (I think it's the end of September.)
If the land is sold, the fear is that it could be sold off to developers. Skylarks, curlews, red squirrels and salmon are all depending on us to stop this happening.

As we gallop to the required £30 million, there’s a donor match up to £600,000 – which is currently about 85% of the way there, and probably closer still by the time this is up online. Thanks to an anonymous donor, The Dixon Foundation and Ringtons, every donation made before 30 September will be doubled up to £600,000.
