Joining in for Koalas

Wow, in Victoria, Australia, the Koala Clancy Foundation has been really busy! They're on a mission to secure a future for the loveable koala (and other wildlife) and as they march on to making this happen, in the past year alone they've done a huge amount:
They’ve planted 164, 789 koala trees since 2020, so they are passed the half way stage to their planting target!
Not only that, they’ve also removed 129,350 boneseed weeds in the You Yangs, meaning they’ve removed 4.4 million weeds in all. The aim is to restore existing koala habitat.
They’ve co-authored two scientific publications which have shared koala discoveries, described as ground-breaking
They’re continuing to monitor the koala population in the You Yangs, the only group to be doing this.
So this is a great journey, and you can be a part of it!
Be a part of something really special!
Join a tree planting day for koalas! In the winter (Australian winter) people gather to plant thousands of koala trees. As the koalas say, without a tree, there is no me! You can find events here.
Why not get your workplace involved in a team building activity in nature, including koala tree planting? Do something really worthwhile with your workmates! Find out more here.
Action has impact!
However, you could also do one of these things too!
Donate, either as a one off or registering as a recurring donor. $10 (Australian) plants a tree! Why not become a member or buy something from the online shop?
There’s a Skills Marketplace you can check out – offer your skills and/or ability to lend a hand, to help koalas! Find out about this here.
Spread the word and tell people about the work the Koala Clancy Foundation is doing by going on social media. Tell people why koalas are important to you and why they matter! Follow them on Facebook and Instagram
Visit the Koala Clancy Foundation's website and see what else you can do to help
You’ve just gotta love a koala!!!
